This site is not yet confirmed as no verbal confirmation or direct record found. However at the time of the war West Boldon had limited buildings with the capacity to be used as a drill hall except the Aubrey Leake Hall. Further to support this hypothisis news articles have been found advertising Dances and Whist drives in aid of the war effort held at the Hall and organised by the West Boldon Home Guard. The newer picture shows St Nicholas parish Hall as it stands now, this buidling was later added to the side of the Aubrey Leake Hall. The two new Bungalows to the right were where the Hall was originally located before being demolished in the 70's or 80's
