Story | Thomas son of David Wilson Coal Miner "Hewer" b1856 and mother Annie Wilson b1861, had brothers William b1881 a surafce labourer at pit, David Wilson b1894. They were living at 6 West Terrace Boldon Colliery. By 1911 Thomas then 13 was at school and his older brother David aged 17 was employed as a "Driver" underground" at the pit. Thomas served on the HMS Kildonan Castle in 1918, the service number allocated above was popular for those employed as Stokers, this was a common job given to people previously employed down the pit. On the 1939 regsiter Thomas is listed as a Colliery Hewer, with marriage status Widower no children listed and living at 82 Arnold street
