Story | Thomas prior to the war was a Claol hewer at Boldon pit, living with his brother in Law at 9 Rosebury Terrace Boldon Colliery as on the 1911 Census. It appears he was married to a Barbara Paisley b20/1/1887. they also have Robert Paisley b1902 who looks like a brother and since the head of the house is named Bowden then Elizabeth Bowden must be Thomas's Sister also. On the RAF Muster Roll it has Thomas down as being a Cook which suggests that he may have served in the army to start with then around many others on the 1/4/18 trasnfered over to the RAF where his rank was listed as Private. On the 1939 Register after leaving the RAF Thomas has returned to the pit as a Colliery Stoneman below ground.
